Maison Akoma ("we", "us", "the restaurant") is a fine-dining restaurant located at 12 Oxford Street, Osu, Accra, Ghana. We are the data controller for all personal information collected through this website.

2. What we collect and why
We only collect personal information when you submit a reservation request through this website. The information we collect is:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Reservation details (number of guests, preferred date and time, special occasion)
Purpose and lawful basis: We process this information to respond to your reservation request and to manage your visit. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (the reservation). We retain reservation records for no longer than 12 months after your visit date.
3. Third-party processors
We share your reservation data with the following service providers, who act only on our instructions:
- StaticForms (staticforms.dev) — receives your form submission and routes it to our inbox.
- Cloudflare Pages (cloudflare.com) — hosts this website and its static assets.
- Google (policies.google.com) — reservation submissions are logged to a Google Sheet for internal CRM records.
- Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) — we use Plausible to understand site usage. Plausible is cookieless, collects no personal data, and sets no tracking cookies.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Your rights
Under the Ghana Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data (where no legal obligation requires us to retain it)
- Object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances

5. Cookies and tracking
This website uses no tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not set cookies and does not process any personally identifiable information. No cookie consent banner is required or shown.

This site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted securely to StaticForms over encrypted connections. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information; however, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
